Dark green pebbled cloth lettered in gilt illustrated in gilt on both panels bevelled edges. Moderate shelf wear abrasion along bottom front edge resulting in some exposure to underboard slight exposure at most corners and moderate exposure at one. Binding a bit weak at a few points but holding firm. Clean text block. 58 pp. 24 of 25 illus. most set into text including one full-page photogravure with tissue guard mildly dampstained sadly lacking frontis. Bound with "A Forgotten Picture" by Michael Iwanoff at rear preceded by a separate title containing a notice from Sartain that he had obtained multiple copies and arranged to have them bound into this publication. Inscribed by author on front flyleaf: "To Mrs. Sarah Harrison / with John Sartain's respectful compliments / and in memory of a friendship from 'Auld Lang Syne.'" Exceptionally scarce.
