Una nostra formazione da bombardamento e da caccia ha distrutto cinque apparecchi in un campo d'aviazione inglese nel Sudan. Al ritorno dall'impresa il comandante dell'audace squadriglia e costretto da un'avaria a scendere in localita nemica. Senza esitare, un altro dei nostri velivoli atterra con ardita manovra, il pilota raggiunge l'apparecchio salvatore e ritorna felicemente alla base." "Anche Sheffield coventrizzata. La città di Sheffield situata nella regione del Midland ha mezzo milione d'abitanti ed e centro famoso per le sue acciaierie, gli alti forni, le fabbriche di munizioni e di ogni altra sorta di materiale bellico. Tutto il complesso di questi stabilimenti ha subito, in una notte, la sorte di quelli di Coventry, di Birmingham, di Southampton, di Bristol..".

Paul Adam avoue son admiration pour le roman " Liroquois " écrit sous le pseudonyme de Legrand-Chabrier en collaboration avec Marcel Chabrier.
