Una seconda edizione, uscì, sempre edita da Gennaro Giannini nel 1921 e riporta al frontespizio la dicitura di seconda edizione con il titolo "Tarass-Bulba e le veglie alla fattoria di Dicanca". L'opera presentata "Le Veglie alla fattoria presso Dikan'ka" è la prima opera di grande successo di Gogol, una raccolta di 8 racconti ambientati fra il XVII ed il XIX secolo, caratterizzato dal folklore ucraino che Gogol potè conoscere direttamente, avendo vissuto fino ai 19 anni nella "Piccola Russia" e anche grazie ai ricordi della madre che descrisse i costumi, gli abbigliamenti e le superstizioni dei villaggi ucraini -- Brossura editoriale a stampa, 412 pagine.
