<p>New York: Acme News Pictures 1951. 7 1/4 inches by 9 inches. Original Acme press photo September 26 1951. On the verso is the original Acme credit slip which includes their suggested caption and a brief description of the news event. The photograph is by Yousuf Karsh. the iconic Canadian portrait photographer who was more than any other photographer associated with Elizabeth from 1943 when she was a young Princess until he last took the Official Photograph of Queen Elizabeth in 1987. Although it was released to Acme for publication on September 26 1952 it is most likely that the image was taken by Karsh during a photo shoot at Clarence House in July of that year. The photo shows Elizabeth Philip and a not-quite 3-years old Prince Charles-all smiling at the camera. Attached to the verso of the photo is the usual Acme credit slip.
