Eden Colvile 1819-1893 was a land agent politician and HBC administrator. In 1849 Colvile was made governor of Rupert's Land during Simpson's absence then returned to England in 1852 with his wife after the flood joined the London committee of the HBC in 1854 and was one of only two members to survive the reorganization in 1863.
