Full contemporary calf-leather with blind decoration both joints are cracked and covers are attached by cords wear at spine-ends and scuffed corners. Two free front end-papers both of which are detached. Plates and handwritten details of previous owners at the front. Text block binding is sound. Pages are clean. Instructions to binders give locations for 7 engravings. This copy contains the three fold out maps/plans but does not contain the other four engravings - there is no evidence of their removal. Included are: The Inclosures & Plan of the Abbey of Fountains of the Cistercian Order in the West Riding of the County of York partial split on one fold facing page 140; The Plan of the Abbey of St. Mary at Kirkstall near Leeds in the West Riding of Yorkshire facing page 286; A Map of the Parish of Hemingbrough and its Boundaries taken by an accurate survey.
