A fabulous celebration of gay life in the early eighties styled on the world's most popular family board game. In 1983 the 'Parker Sisters' published this pirated version of Parker Brother's game of Monopoly with 'Profits donated to AIDS Research and Support groups' quote from the box. The Sisters were promptly sued by the Brothers and for nearly forty years Gay Monopoly has been coming out of the closet for a queer take on the classic board game. The game board features a large illustration by Tom of Finland and bears his printed signature. The publishers paid Tom of Finland a licensing fee for the use of his image in the design of the game. It is a notable example of Tom's imagery being used in an authorised manner for a commercially produced object at a time when there was mass piracy of his artworks. ‎Un épais volume in-16° (10 x15 cm), reliure éditeur percaline de couleur rouge avec sur le premier plat une couronne surmontant des rameaux de laurier), sur le dos une simple couronne et sur le 2ème plat un écusson, Tranches non dorées . Il compte 1374 pages. L’Almanach de Gotha a été créé en 1763 à GOTHA et cette publication modeste au départ s’est vite épaissie. Elle s’éteindra sous sa forme première en 1944. L'objectif initial de l'Almanach de Gotha, qui ne se vendait que sur abonnement, était de lister les membres des maisons souveraines d'Europe (régnantes ou anciennement régnantes) ainsi que la plupart des familles princières et ducales européennes ). Ce qui n’était pas simple vu le nombre de ces familles en Allemagne et en Italie. Il s’agissait d’un outil essentiel en ce qui concerne les mariages , les alliances et le code complexe des préséances sociales. Par la suite cette liste s’étendit aux chefs d’état , aux agents principaux du corps diplomatique et aux hauts fonctionnaires.Le présent Almanach s’ouvre sur le frontispice en simple phototypie de CAROL II, ROI DE ROUMANIE.
