‎In -4°, pp. (10), 50, (8); una tavola doppia ripiegata fuori testo, incisa da Giuseppe Filosi, illustrazioni, capilettera e finalini xilografati, frontespizio in rosso e nero, stemma del dedicatario, arcivescovo Girolamo Crispi; cartonato coevo. Prima e unica edizione di questo “Liber primus”, ma unico pubblicato. Liberato Sabbati nasce a Bevagna nel 1714 e si trasferisce a Roma prima dei 17 anni, dove studia farmacia nelle spezieria di Marco Palilli al rione Monti ed entra in rapporto con i domenicani casanatensi. Nel 1749 è nominato primo “custos” dell'Orto botanico romano, manterrà l’incarico fino al 1779, anno della sua morte. Autore di una poderosa descrizione manoscritta dell’“Hortus romanus”, questo lavoro è apparentemente il suo unico pubblicato in vita. Il suo forte legame con Giovanni Francesco Maratti, allora direttore dell’Orto botanco, è testimoniato dalle ultime righe di quest’opera, stampata quattro anni prima che al Sabbati fosse conferito il detto incarico. The first custodian of the Roman Botanic Garden between 1749 and 1779, Sabbati was also the author of a monumental manuscript description of the plants there preserved. This rare work, published in 1745, is the only one published by Sabbati in his life.‎

Bellissimo stemma araldico di Pio VI, nato Giovanni Angelico o Giannangelo Braschi (Cesena, 27 dicembre 1717 – Valence, 29 agosto 1799) alla prima pagina. Un'iniziale ornata. Al colophon luogo, data e stampatore. Interessante placchetta con la decicione della Sacra Rota pertinente alla "communitatem Oppidi Montis Jani Coesenaten" e ad alcuni benefici. L'autore della decisione è probabilemnte Alphonse-Hubert de Latier de Bayane a lungo a capo del concistoro. Le decisioni della sacra rota, oltre ad uscira sotto forma di fogli volanti o placchette, erano unite slitamente a fine anno in un unico volume che raccoglieva tutti i casi trattati e le decicioni dall'istituzione ecclesiastica. I fogli volanti e le placchette, che venivano distribuite sul trittorio per informare la cittadinanza delle conclusione tratte dalla Sacra Rota e che portano sempre lo stemma del Pontefice in carica al momento della loro stampa, risultano essere RARI. BUONO STATO DI CONSERVAZIONE.‎

‎Veduta tratta dalla serie "Vestigi delle Antichità di Roma Tivoli Pozzuolo et altri luoghi", che il Sadeler incide, riprendendole dalla serie del francese Stefano Du Pérac, con la tecnica del bulino e in formato ridotto.L'opera consta di 50 tavole pubblicate da Marco Sadeler nel 1606 a Praga, attivissimo centro culturale, con lo stesso titolo "Vestigi delle Antichità di Roma" e le medesime descrizioni del Du Pérac in lingua italiana, senza citare l'inventore.Incisore di corte presso Rodolfo II, il Sadeler aveva compiuto viaggi in Germania e in Italia, soggiornando a Roma nel 1593.Nella sua opera compaiono però anche vedute di "... Tivoli, Pozzuolo et altri luochi" che mancano in quella del Du Pérac (sono tredici le tavole nuove) nelle quali viene accentuato l'aspetto naturalistico.Bulino, impresso su carta vergata coeva, con margini, perfetto stato di conservazione. Marco Sadeler (1614-1660) war Teil der Sadeler-Familie, welche eine der berühmtesten Druckerfamilien der Zeit war. Im weißen Rand etwas angeschmutzt. Durchgehende Knitterfalte im linken Blattdrittel. Ecke abgerissen.‎
