Dated 1931 from the titles listed to the wraps and in the book with 'The Vintage of Yon-Yee' being the latest novel by Miln listed to the rear wrap and to the reverse of the half-title which was published in 1931.In the original unclipped dust wrapper.'Rice' is a touching tale set in China following the sacrifice of a daughter's who gives ten years of her life for her mother's desire to taste white rice only once.Written by Louise Jordan Miln an American novelist and actress whose other publications include the travel memoirs 'When We Were Strolling Players in the East' and 'Quaint Korea' and many novels. In the original publisher's cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart. A little discolouration to the boards. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Dust wrapper is a little edge worn with some loss to the head of the spine and some small closed tears. Front joint is worn and torn.
