Il richiamo è evidentemente alla Physiologie du Gout di Brillat Savarin; ma in questo caso si tratta di un vero e proprio ricettario alfabetico come spiega più correttamente il vero titolo dell'opera completata dalla descrizione di una serie di menu storici da un pranzo reale del 1666 fino ai diners en ville della ricca borghesia frances dell'Ottocento. - Terza edizione. Sumptous full Morocco by Georges Crette with gilt particulars to spine. All edges heavily gilt. Polished calf doublures and decorated endpapers with the original wraps bound in. Decorative slipcase with Morocco fore edges. Minor wear to corners of case see image. The 70 lithographs break down as follows: 13 full-page in color 2 in color in the text and the others in black in blue or in 2 tones.
