In 12esimo oblungo, front. minutamente inciso in acciaio; segue 1 cartina che include Italia, Tuscum Mare, Internum Mare,Adriaticum Mare, Jonium Mare, Corsica, Sardinia, Africa, Dalmatia, Macedonia, Thracia; segue, in delineato, una piccola planimetria del “Troiae Campus” con 19 didascalie; il volumetto contiene 50 incisioni in acciaio in b/n f. t. finemente incise e raffiguranti vedute dell’Italia centro meridionale, alcune della Grecia, leg. in tutta tela verde con titolo in oro al dorso. Carl Ludwig Frommel (Birkenfeld, 1789 – Inspringen, 1863). Pittore e incisore di Scuola tedesca. Dopo aver visitato l’Italia, si ferma in Germania e diventa professore di pittura e di incisione a Carlsruhe. Si reca in Inghilterra dove apre un atelier di incisione. Interessante guida che racconta il viaggio dell’Eneide toccando parte del Lazio, della Sicilia e della Grecia. Tracce di usura alla legatura, foxing sporadico alle pagine, discreta conservazione.
