ill., br. Il Sentiero del Discepolo nasce per offrire al pellegrino moderno la possibilità di ripetere l'esperienza dei discepoli di Gesù, che camminavano con lui e si nutrivano della sua Parola. Seguendo una via "diretta" da Nazaret a Gerusalemme in 11 tappe, attraversando (in tutta sicurezza) anche i Territori palestinesi, il Sentiero del Discepolo si pone oggettivamente come un gesto di pace in un contesto ancora afflitto da grandi problemi. Il cammino è la metafora dell'esperienza umana. Per questo il percorso è dedicato a tutti coloro che amano il cammino per motivi spirituali, culturali o di puro piacere. Per i "camminatori cristiani" sarà possibile rivivere l'esperienza dei discepoli che percorrevano con Gesù le strade della Palestina, seguendo l'itinerario del Vangelo di Luca che viene proposto nella seconda parte della guida. L'itinerario spirituale è accompagnato dalle parole illuminanti di Carlo Maria Martini, che ha sempre considerato questa terra come "sua".
