E in che senso va intesa l'affermazione, comune a critici e spettatori americani, circa il "piacere colpevole" di seguire così appassionatamente un prodotto culturale di bassa estrazione? Paris, chez Brunet, Imprimeur, Place du Théatre Italien, 1788, in-8, cartone decorato moderno, tagli rossi, pp. 22. Bella vignetta al frontespizio (canestro di frutta) e testata allegorica incise in xilografia. Il libretto di Marmontel è basato su quello di Philippe Quinault per l'omonima opera di J.-B. Lully del 1676 (a sua volta ispirato ai "Fasti" di Ovidio). La 1a rappresentazione è del febbraio 1780 alla Salle du Palais-Royal: la versione originale (la stessa di questa edizione) prevedeva un finale drammatico, col suicidio di Atys, ma dal 1783 ne fu elaborata anche una seconda versione che prevedeva un "lieto fine". Ottime condizioni.

The plug was pulled on the plane's development when it was determined that submarines were more suited to the PM6's proposed military mission. It was the last airplane build by Baltimore-based Martin. The news magazine also features a well-illustrated article on the Chinese Opera and much coverage of the doings of royalty. Bella edizione del 1694 di questa Opera omnia del celebre giurista milanese e teologo Martino Bonacina (1585-1631). Bonacina insegnò diritto canonico e civile e le sue opere ebbero il compito di divulgare principi e decreti dogmatici emersi dal Concilio di Trento. L'opera è formata da tre tomi ed è completa. All'interno i celebri trattati "De Sacramentis", "De matrimonio", "De censuris" (assoluzione della censura, scomunica, scomunica dalle eresie, sospensione, interdizione, irregolarità casuate dai delitti e omicidi), "De horis canonicis", "De clausura", De Simonia", "Tractatus de legibus, peccatis et praecepti decalogi" (privilegi, dispensazioni, peccati, superstizione, sacrilegio, blasfemia, contratti, fideiussione, pignoramento, feudo, testamenti, successioni), "De censura" (scomuniche, sospensioni, interdizioni). Ampie parti dedicate alle scomuniche e alle censure con relative tabelle. Bellissima legatura in piena pergamena coeva con titolo manoscritto al dorso. Frontespizi in rosso e nero con bella vignetta entro cornice figurata: Minerva con elmo, lancia e scudo cavalca un leone Antiche note manoscritte all'interno. Grandi dimensioni.
