Come dice il sottotitolo, nel testo cerco, in base alle mie conoscenze teoriche ed esperienze pratiche, di introdurre il lettore nel mondo del Qi Gong. Avere in casa, a portata di mano, questo manuale di Qi Gong, costituisce uno stimolo alla pratica degli esercizi e all' acquisizione di una maggiore padronanza del proprio corpo e delle sue potenzialità. Scopo di questo breve testo, infatti, è quello di diffondere nozioni e tecniche, per avere una migliore e consapevole cura della propria salute. Ogni tanto ho inserito liberamente anche alcuni consigli tratti dalla cultura locale e mirati al BEN-ESSERE personale, perché le conoscenze popolari spesso si rassomigliano senza confini. Polmoni, cuore, milza, reni: tutte le funzioni del corpo avvengono secondo un ritmo di 24 ore. Secondo l'orologio degli organi, in certi momenti della giornata alcuni sistemi raggiungono il picco della loro attività, mentre altri ne riducono l'intensità. Ogni organo ha la sua tabella di marcia, di notte come di giorno. Disturbi che si verificano in un momento particolare della giornata possono dunque essere indicativi di una malattia e contribuire così alla diagnosi. L'espressione "orologio degli organi" fa riferimento alla medicina tradizionale cinese, una scienza millenaria che considera l'essere umano nella sua interezza e che si basa sull'idea che il corpo umano è soggetto a una circolazione quotidiana di energia, il qi. A ogni sistema organico è attribuito un orario diurno e notturno della durata di due ore. Rispettando questi orari, avremo un impatto positivo sulla nostra salute. Impareremo a sfruttare a nostro vantaggio i ritmi corporei in ufficio e a casa, per esempio per sapere qual è il momento migliore per assumere un farmaco, guadagnando in salute e vitalità.
