Il libro presenta in modo dettagliato piatti della tradizione culinaria maranese insieme a numerose proposte innovative: oltre al Piatto del Papa, il volume contiene 51 ricette marinare di semplice preparazione, accompagnate da foto inedite di pesci e molluschi, non solo della laguna di Marano e dell'Adriatico. L'apparato iconografico, importante per comprendere l'approccio di Sirle Boscolo ed Emilio Driussi nella realizzazione del volume, è arricchito da immagini e foto storiche che invitano a intraprendere un viaggio suggestivo, anche tra gli antichi casoni di pescatori nella Riserva Naturale Foci dello Stella. Completa il volume una collezione di fotografie dell'avifauna migratoria e stanziale che popola la laguna.

No dust jacket. Laminated hardcover. Boards are rather grubby, with one or two light surface scratches. Spine ends are bumped and a little creased. Leading corners are a little worn. One or two small marks and stains on page block, plus a noticeable liquid stain on face of page block. Blue staining to upper part of leading edge of first title page and very light, pale liquid staining to corresponding area of most pages. Binding is sound and pages are tight throughout.
