Una grande avventura che parte dai laboratori e dai centri ricerca sparsi lungo lo Stivale e arriva a centinaia di chilometri sopra le nostre teste, dando un contributo essenziale alle missioni degli astronauti, agli esperimenti in orbita destinati a migliorare la nostra vita, alla rete di satelliti che osserva la Terra e aiuta a prevenire e gestire i disastri naturali. L'Agenzia spaziale è anche un importante strumento di diplomazia, capace di condurre da protagonista progetti internazionali che hanno ricadute economiche e geopolitiche importanti per l'Italia, una vera e propria space economy in cui possiamo essere protagonisti. Dei "segreti" dello spazio italiano, Roberto Battiston compone un racconto appassionato, che è insieme guida competente e atto d'amore verso una missione compiuta guardando alle stelle coi piedi per terra.
