‎brossura Ruota, trasla e... rifletti: su che cosa? Su quale e quanta matematica pervade la nostra quotidianità. Sull'importanza che questa disciplina riveste nell'istruzione primaria. Questa breve raccolta di problemi di geometria si propone come spunto di riflessione su alcuni temi di geometria euclidea, presentando, in particolare, questioni legate alle trasformazioni geometriche. Per consentire di mettersi alla prova nella ricerca delle soluzioni anche ai lettori che non hanno ancora (o non hanno più) troppa familiarità con gli strumenti della geometria, questi vengono via via introdotti ex-novo rendendo il testo praticamente autosufficiente. Rimangono da mettere in campo solo fantasia e buoni ragionamenti.‎

‎Mouillures sans conséquence sur la couverture et les tout premiers feuillets, sinon bel exemplaire. Cahier de géométrie pour l'année scolaire 1845-1846 de l'élève Camille Clerc (1828-1882), qui intègre deux ans plus tard l'école Polytechnique (promotion 1848) avant de devenir ingénieur des Ponts et Chaussées. C'est en 1856 qu'il épouse Georgina le Barbier de Tinan (1835-1862), fille du Baron Adelbert Le Barbier de Tinan. Camille succède à son père en 1858 et prend la tête d'une raffinerie de sucre située au Hâvre. Il s'avère être un homme d'affaire avisé et un grand mélomane. Avec sa seconde épouse, Marie Depret (1840-1919), il organise d'ailleurs des soirées musicales à Sainte-Adresse, puis, plus tard, à Villerville.
