Druckwerke sowie dem Brunnenbau. Die Bände 3 u. 4 sind dem klassischen Wasserbau vorbehalten u. behandeln Schleusen, Hafenbau, Dockbauwerke, Kanal- u. Flussbauten, Brücken u. Anlagen zur Be- u. Entwässerung. Enthalten sind ebenfalls Kapitel über Schöpfwerke, Wasser- u. Windmühlen, Feuerspritzen, Bagger sowie Betonbau am u. im Wasser.- Belidor (1697/98-1761) wendet in diesem Werk "zuerst die Differential- und Integralrechnung für technische Zwecke an, und zwar namentlich zur Berechnung der Ausflußgeschwindigkeit aus senkrecht stehenden Röhren" (Matschoss S. 17). Der Wert seines Werkes für die praktisch tätigen Ingenieure u. Architekten im 18. u. frühen 19.
