In-8° (cm. 24,2x15,9), complessive pp. 26 (da p. 225 a p. 236 + da p. 293 a p. 306). Brossura provvisoria a cura della Bottega d'Erasmo, cifre e nome a biro in cop., ottimo l'interno. LA ROSA, docente di fisica sperimentale. Il suo nome, è legato soprattutto ad una serie di studi teorici dedicati alla confutazione della teoria della relatività. Divenuto professore ordinario nel 1918, divenne preside della facoltà di Scienze nel 1926 e magnifico rettore nel 1932; morì prematuramente l'anno successivo. Nel 1922 fu eletto socio corrispondente dell'Accademia dei Lincei, nel 1924 ottenne con Antonino Lo Surdo il premio reale dei Lincei per la fisica, e nel 1930 fu ammesso all'Accademia nazionale delle scienze detta dei XL. Il suo archivio fu dichiarato di notevole interesse storico il 7 dicembre 2005 dalla Soprintendenza Archivistica per il Lazio. Importante saggio. Come estratto è tuttora ignoto a SBN.

Prima edizione di questo trattato sul principio della relatività di Einstein scritto da uno dei primi fisici che ne abbracciò le teorie. Langevin fu uno dei più geniali fisici francesi del XX° secolo e durante la prima guerra mondiale sviluppò un sistema agli ultrasuoni capace di rilevare la presenza dei sommergibili.
