Gallinacei / Palmipedi.
Tratte dal "Dizionario delle Scienze Naturali", Batelli, Firenze, 1831 circa. Coppia di incisioni in rame all'acquaforte, colore d'epoca, cm 11 x 19 circa (il foglio), in basso a quella dei Gallinacei si legge "Pretre dip., Turpin dires., Chiussone inc."; in basso a quella dei Palmipedi si legge "Pretre dip., Luigi Giarré incise". Il "Dizionario delle scienze naturali" fu un eccellente lavoro di luminari del XVIII secolo, supportati dal re Luigi XV e guidati dallo stesso Turpin, considerato al tempo il più grande incisore di botanica. L'opera era composta da ventinove volumi e fu corredata da centinaia di incisioni che rappresentavano tutto il mondo animale e vegetale. La maggior parte delle incisioni, stampate su buona carta, caratterizzate da un' ottima dovizia di particolari e dipinte rigorosamente a mano, sono per lo più firmate dal Turpin e dal Pretre. Con vecchie cornici artigianali in legno rosso e verde puntinato in nero. Leggermente rifilate per essere inserite in cornice, un po' di foxing, piacevole coloritura, nell'insieme in buono stato.

Passeracei.
Tratte dal "Dizionario delle Scienze Naturali", Batelli, Firenze, 1831 circa. Incisione in rame all'acquaforte, colore d'epoca, cm 13 x 21 circa (il foglio), in basso si legge "Pretre dip., Turpin dires., Corsi inc.". Il "Dizionario delle scienze naturali" fu un eccellente lavoro di luminari del XVIII secolo, supportati dal re Luigi XV e guidati dallo stesso Turpin, considerato al tempo il più grande incisore di botanica. L'opera era composta da ventinove volumi e fu corredata da centinaia di incisioni che rappresentavano tutto il mondo animale e vegetale. La maggior parte delle incisioni, stampate su buona carta, caratterizzate da un' ottima dovizia di particolari e dipinte rigorosamente a mano, sono per lo più firmate dal Turpin e dal Pretre. In margini e in bellissima coloritura con particolari in oro, molto buono lo stato di conservazione. Con vecchia cornice artigianale in legno crema e doppia bordatura oro, buono stato.
