The Golfer's Manual being An Historical and Descriptive Account of the National Game of Scotland by 'A Keen Hand' and originally published in 1857 and now reprinted with an Introduction by Bernard Darwin. 1/4 green cloth binding with decorative paper boards and gilt lettering to the spine. A lovely clean copy with a touch of spotting to boards otherwise fresh with square corners. Printed on a hand press on paper hand made by Millbourn with rough edges to fore and bottom edges. Internally very clean with only a touch of spotting to fore edge not affecting pages and uncut pages throughout the book. Wood engraving frontispiece to beginning of each chapter and dust jacket beautifully executed by John O'Connor.
