Boards are in very good condition just a little rubbing to the publishers name and gilt decoration at lower spine and just very slightly rubbed at corners; front hinges are weak but holding inevitably having separated front endpapers along the spine rear hinges are tight. Slight surface loss to front endpapers towards upper edge. Early pencil notes - 'latest edn with plates' and booksellers' prices on the pages preceding the title-page.
