L'autore descrive l'pidemia di colera che colpì il territorio delle Marche e dell'Abruzzo intorno al 1850 partendo da Fano, Senigallia per poi passare a Pesaro ed Ancona, trattando i casi da lui stesso curati. Ottimo esemplare.

Prima e unica edizione, si tratta dell’unico scritto scientifico pubblicato da Zambeccari (1655-1728) nel corso della sua vita (oltre a questo pubblicò solo un “Breve trattato sui bagni di Pisa e di Lucca”. Collega e amico di Francesco Redi, Giuseppe Zambeccari è considerato uno dei pionieri della fisiologia sperimentale: questo scritto è uno dei primi trattati di fisiologia che si vale della vivisezione; è altresì il primo trattato teorico in cui si vuol dimostrare che la milza non è essenziale alla sopravvivenza. First and only edition, it’s the only one scientific work ever published in life by Zambeccari (1655-1728): beyond this he only published a short treaty about Pisa and Lucca thermal baths. A friend of Francesco Redi, Zambeccari is considered a pioneer of the experimental phisiology, and this work is one of the first in its kind done making use of vivisection. It’s also the first theoric study trying to demonstrate that the spleen is not essential to survive.

Carlo Felice Zanelli (1887-1966) fu libero docente e medico presso la Clinica delle Malattie Nervose di Roma dal 1921. Fu compagno di scuola di Marinno Moretti al liceo-ginnasio di Bologna, il Vittorino da Feltre, nell'anno 1898-99 e da questo momento in avanti fu legato a questi da una solida amicizia. l'opera qui presentata ricostruisce le cause psicologiche fisiologiche dell'insonnia suggerendo cure e rimedi. Prima edizione non comune.
