Alfred Picard. 918 illustrations mostly line drawings and BW photos. The embossed red decorative boards have nice faces but the spine is sun faded and has two three inch tears along the hinges and chipping at both ends. Binding seems solid except for the back where it is on the verge of cracking but intact for now without any splits inside. Over 800 illustrations mostly line drawings and gravures. Front and endpapers have some foxing but in the over 700 pages there is virtually none I found two pages towards the beginning. Vast majority of text and illustrations are bright clean well preserved. The same is true of the embossed red decorative boards but not of the spine which is sun faded and frayed at the head.
