A classic flora with illustrations by John Sowerby produced and revised at a time when there was a fascination with identifying and categorising new species. The binding has gilt titles and decoration with blind stamped design to the boards which have bevelled edges and elaborate gilt titles and design to the spine. It has been rebacked with new endpapers so is sound and tight. There is wear to corners and edges. Aeg.
