Ohne Ort [Stuttgart], Ohne Verlag und Jahr [Hoffmann um 1845], 1845. 32 und 8 Tafeln. Großformatiger Halbleinenband von ca. 1890 ohne gedrucktes Titelblatt und mit handschriftlichem Deckelschildchen. Supplement zum Tafelband, der zur Illustration von Okens "Allgemeiner Naturgeschichte" erschien und (inklusive dieses Supplements) insgesamt 164 meist kolorierte Tafeln enthielt. Die 32 schönen Tafeln wurden von der Lithographischen Anstalt von C. Schach in Stuttgart gedruckt und in der Zeit herrlich akkurat koloriert; abgesehen von Tafel 9 sind sie sämtlich als "Supplement-Tafeln" ausgewiesen. Die Tafeln zeigen u.a. Raubkatzen, Nagetiere, Vögel (6), Amphibien, Fische (2), Käfer und Schmetterlinge (6), Krustentiere, Muscheln (4). Die anhängenden 8 Tafeln "Natur und Eier" zeigen Vogeleier und Nestbauten. Unser Exemplar ohne die Textblätter und das gedruckte Titelblatt des Supplements. Mit kleinem altem Besitzerstempel, sonst gut erhaltenes Exemplar mit nur leichten Gebrauchsspuren.
