Rare.With descriptions of new species. It is from the series edited by John Edward Gray and aimed at providing a complete catalogue of the Museum's holdings. The set is as follows: I. Andrenidae and Apidae (1853) 197 p., 6 plates, II. Apidae [continued] (1854) pp. [198]-465, 6 plates, III. Mutillidae and Pompilidae (1855) 206 p., 5 plates, IV. Sphegidae, Larridae, and Crabronidae (1856) pp. [207]-497, 6 plates, V. Vespidae (1857) 147 p., 6 plates, VI. Formicidae (1858) 216 p., 14 plates, VII. Dorylidae and Thynnidae (1859) 76 p., 3 plates. The present set should not be confused with F. Walker's list of hymenopterous insects in the collection of the British Museum, which preceded this work.
