Oltre alle generalità intorno agli insetti e ai coleotteri, l'opera si occupa della raccolta e conservazione degli insetti e offre un ampio repertorio bibliografico. I°l testo è impreziosito da numerose incisioni nel testo e 50 tavole fuori testo in cromolitografia che mostrano numerose specie. Presenti inoltre due tavole in bianco e nero sugli insetti. Firma all'occhietto datata Terni 1923. In buone condizioni Copertina in tela editoriale in buone condizioni generali con lievi usure marginali. Legatura in buone condizioni ma qualche lieve rottura. All'interno le pagine si presentano in ottime condizioni con rare fioriture. In 8. cm 26,5x19. Pp. IX+(1)+244.First edition of 1896 of this volume about coleopters by Achille Griffini. The work is a famous monography describing over 1300 different species of coleopters. The work describes insects in general then collection and preservation of them. The text is enriched by different black and white illustrations in the text and 50 tavole out of text chromolithographis plates showing different species. There are also two black and white plates about insects. Signature inthe false title page dated Terni 1923. In good conditions Cloth editorial cover in good general conditions lightly worn in the extremities. Binding in good condiitons with some light crack.
