ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Manish K. Verma is Professor, Head and Deputy Coordinator UGC-SAP DRS-1 in the Department of Sociology at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar (Central) University, Lucknow. Having obtained doctorate degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, he has more than 22 years of teaching and research experience. During his two decades long stint in academic arena at various positions, he has published many books. His latest book titled 'Globalisation, Environment and Social Justice: Perspectives, Issues and Concerns' is under publication from Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, UK. In addition, he published books which include, 'Peri-Urban Environment' (2017; Winshield Press, Delhi), 'Globalisation and Environment: Discourse, Policies and Practices' (2015; Rawat Publications, Jaipur & New Delhi), and 'Development, Displacement and Resettlement' (2004; Rawat Publications, Jaipur & New Delhi). Several research papers and book chapters have been published by him in reputed journals and edited volumes apart from conducting research projects in areas of environment and development. Lungo un percorso di analisi che ricombina le complesse matrici teoriche e metodologiche della sua riflessione, Mannheim elabora la definizione compiutamente sociologica del concetto di generazione, evidenzia la forza del legame tra dinamica generazionale e processi di mutamento e definisce la funzione sociologica della gioventù, intesa come una risorsa rivitalizzante capace di contribuire attivamente alla trasformazione sociale.
