She is a Visiting Faculty/Fellow at Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research, University of Delhi since 1997 and currently working as Research Scientist in the Department of Medicine, V.P. Chest Institute , University of Delhi. She is an eminent scientist and is recipient of DST Young Scientist Award and Award of Highest Honour of the Soka University, Japan. She has published several research papers in international journals of repute and has authored a book on ‘Food and Nutrition: Concepts and Measurements’.
