Each leaf is printed in chromo on recto and single color on verso except for final card which is single color on recto and chromo on verso. Oblong octavo. String-tied with promotional card 1 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches for Piso's Cure for Consumption and Piso's Remedy for Catarrh. A handsome group of American chromolithographs produced as part of a promotion for Piso medicinal products. The illustrations show an ocean steamer a Long Island Sound steamer a Mississippi River steamboat and various sailing yachts and schooners. Each of the eight types of identified vessels are illustrated with two copies of the same image facing each other printed in a single tone on the left and as a chromolithograph on the right. The single tone image also includes text indicating the type of ship and identifying parts of the vessel such as the different sails. The pamphlet was produced as a promotion for Piso's Cure for Consumption and Piso's Remedy for Catarrh both available in drugstores or by mail. The promotional card indicates that the album could be obtained for "three outside wrappers taken from bottles of Piso's Cure for Consumption or for one wrapper from a package of Piso's Remedy for Catarrh. MARTET Jean PLANSON Andre lithographies de.
Les Cousins de Vaison la Romaine.
Paris Les Amis bibliophiles 1963. Yves Sjöberg cité in Bénézit.
