N.p.: N.p. 1970. Archive of 32 vintage photographs documenting the October 20 1970 collision of two trains along the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad line in Raytown Missouri. Also included in the archive is a single broadside reward poster offering $5000 for information pertaining to the accident. <br/><br/>According to a contemporary newspaper article which appeared in nearby Jackson County's Independence Examiner the accident was believed to have been caused by juvenile vandalism to a nearby track switch. The collision and subsequent derailment resulted in the death of one engineer whose partial body is visible in several photographs. <br/><br/>The photographs in the archive range from close-up shots of the mangled train cars and tracks to distance views of the surrounding woods. Frequently displayed in the images is a small handwritten police chalkboard noting the date location and case numbers. One script a Final Draft belonging to an auditioning actor Jenny Sullivan with her name in holograph ink on the front wrapper; the other script is bound in red faux leather with gilt tiles a color photograph of a human fetus bound in and both scripts bear letters from a professor at the University of California describing the possible methods and techniques detailed in the screenplay and their applicability to contemporary 1974 ethical and legal conditions. Brief annotations on laid-in slips in holograph ink throughout the first script. Laid in is a signed letter from director Nelson to Jenny informing her that she is a finalist for the role of Victoria ultimatly the role went to Barbara Carrera. <br/> <br/>An exploitation film owing much to "Bride of Frankenstein" as well as the technological advances with DNA in the 1970s. Dr. Paul Holliston Hudson is a scientist who discovers a method to accelerate the birth cycle to just a few days. The maturation process has detrimental side effects and the mature adult a woman shows homicidal tendencies. <br/><br/>Set in Los Angeles. <br/><br/>First script:<br/><br/>Light blue titled wrappers undated. Collection of three vintage black-and-white studio still photographs from the 1971 film. <br/><br/>Roger Vadim's followup to "Barbarella" 1956 may be the only sexploitation crime film ever released by a major studio and managed to break just about every cultural taboo in the book even during the uncertain days of the early 1970s. The story and especially the filmmaking style is a strange response to the sexual revolution in 1970 in which a high school full of randy teachers and students in an unnamed Midwestern town become involved in a series of murders. Vadim's attempt to update .".And God Created Woman" from the male perspective has become a cult film that would be sued out of existence today and a fascinating look at the "revolution" from a middle America perspective. <br/><br/>Based on Francis Pollini's 1968 novel. Ocean View High School's resident faculty hero football coach/guidance counselor "Tiger" McDrew Hudson at his greasiest is married and has a child but this doesn't keep him from seducing many of his female students and persuading the new substitute teacher Miss Smith Dickinson to deflower a troubled virgin. Girls start turning up at the school dead in various states of undress with cryptic notes pinned to intimate parts of their anatomy. The county sheriff Keenan Wynn is forced to defer to a state police investigator Savalas who starts nosing around the school. <br/><br/>8 x 10 inches. The two gradually lose contact with one another. But Henry makes it to Switzerland where Barkley is hospitalized. The baby is stillborn and Barkley dies shortly afterward. <br/><br/>Set in Europe shot on location in Italy. <br/><br/>White titled wrappers with credits for screenwriter Hecht original director Vidor and producer Selznick.
