CARSON, Matthew et al.
10x10 Japanese Photobooks
Catalogo della mostra itinerante tenutasi presso: 1. International Center of Photography, New York, 28-30 settembre 2012; 2. Carnegie Musuem of Art, Pittsburgh, 17-18 maggio 2014; 3. Westergasfabriek, Amsetrdam, 18-21 settembre 2014. . Perfetto (Mint). . Prima edizione di 400 es. numerati. . 10×10 Japanese Photobooks is a sushi counter of information about the Japanese photobooks published in the last 60 years: 20 international specialists each highlight 10 titles, one of which is then given an expanded treatment—including enough pictures to give a sense of what the work is actually like. Photo books have been an important aspect of Japanese culture since the end of World War II, documenting the country's seismic social transformations, and most of the country's best known photographers— Daido Moriyama, Nobuyoshi Araki, Eikoh Hosoe, Hiroshi Sugimoto —are represented. The advantage of this extensive listing is that many little known artists are also on view. ("The Wall Street Journal 22 novembre 2014").

Rivers of Power. Rios de Poder
Introduction by Ximena Peredo. Essay by Gonzalo Ortega. Photographies by Alejandro Cartagena. With signed and dated insert. Designed and edited by Alejandro Cartagena and Fernando Gallegos. Co Published by NEWWER and Alejandro Cartagena / Introduzione di Ximena Peredo.

The last chapter of the trilogy that has followed the cultural turmoil that the US has lived in the last 4 years. The third volume continues to paint an uncertain present and future. "Alejandro's pictures in this project, since the beginning, have channeled that fear of fire, the engulfing heat, the insatiable flames, devouring everyone and everything, leaving charred scars behind...So what now? If Alejandro can see the future? How is this book, the last in the trilogy, different and new? Well, it's confident in its bleak outlook."
