Vintage enhancement product catalogue & workout manual digest booklet w/ tips on how to use the product a female "bust developer" popular model & actress June Wilkinson showcasing various techniques for effective uses on the cover & throughout.The device was widely marketed in California particularly via periodicals aimed at the female community promising to transform "flat bustlines into firm shapely fullness." The product can be seen in pornographic films & magazines of the 1970s mainly used as a gag prop. As far as its medical applications one is left to wonder. Mark Eden's company eventually folded after a lengthy interaction w/ the US Postal Service beginning about the time of this publication. This product even had a sequel: Mark Eden II Bust Developer. After several indictments of mail fraud the company and its distributor Feather a figure salon kingpin of California finally disappeared in the early 1980s. Other variants of the bust developer manual have been seen & then accompanied by actual bust developers this being the only variant featuring Wilkinson.24pp 4 x 6.25 inches saddle-stapled B/W throughout. Girl Watcher / Bonanza Publishing 1959. Very Good. Two vintage non-nude pin-up magazines intended as humorous "guides to girl watching" a controversial title in that its entries on watching stalking and "collecting" girls from the neighborhood have endured some criticism on questionably morality. Most of the articles about girl watching have little serious intent with regard to actual crimes against women and the intro blurb states: "Dedicated to all Serious Scholars and Connoisseurs of Beautiful Women." Being that much of the content is the work of photographer Earl Leaf it can be presumed that "girl watching" simply means capturing women candidly or professionally on camera as a professional photographer with professional models. Sports humor especially the first issue fiction. Only a handful of issues produced at least 2 with ties to other glamour photography magazines including those from Dingbat Press. Arguably a high-point of men's magazine collecting w/ the series second issue featuring Bonnie Logan & June Wilkinson a cover capitulating glamour model society; perhaps no other men's magazine has done this & what better models to represent the mystique draw and ideals of mid-century subculture: professional "girl watching." Pulpy straggler would become pornographic whiles maintaing a newsstand presence 1970s feature nude model layouts. Ties to Sir! & Hit! magazines.These issues feature pinup model turned burlesque turned B-movie starlet Barbara Nichols on front panels. Before she made her way to stage and screen Barbara was a model for major publishing houses who specialized in mature content during the early 1950s. Some of her earliest appearances are vintage paperback & digest covers w/ great detective/true crime magazine covers leading the way.
