1962 World Series Complimentary Copy: Yankees vs. Giants at Yankee Stadium.
<p>Small black and white folio program 8 1/2" x 11" pictorial front page 4 pp. Other than some normal aging this is in very nice condition. Scarce and unusual complimentary type program that were handed out to fans at Yankee Stadium. Since the second page refers to games 34 and 5 it appears the first two games had already been completed. The first page includes a black and white photo of Yankee Stadium illustrating an actual game. The front page gives historical series results and attendance numbers. The two inside pages were meant to help the fan keep score. This copy is unmarked. The back page gives player stats for both teams. An unusual and somewhat scare bit of World Series history. The Yanks took this series in seven games despite a poor performance from Mantle and Maris.</p>

<p>4to magazine glossy covers illustrated 361-396 pp. Mostly margin tear in lower right side of magazine mostly in first ten pages but extends beyond that does not really affect text small tape repair to back of front cover normal aging; otherwise about very good. Baseball Magazine was published for almost 50years ending in the late 1950s. This copy was probably the first published after the official end of WWII. An editorial in this edition talks about post war plans by some teams to improve their stadiums. This would include the New York Yankees. The cover photograph features the Chicago Clubs' pitching staff. Articles in this issue include "The Road Ahead" about what the end of the war will mean for baseball and another article on the value of players doing time in the minors. </p> The Baseball Magazine Company,

National League 1958 Green Book.
<p>4to 11 1/4" x 8 1/2" spiral bound green covers with illustration 60 pp. Some light wear to covers a chop in the margin of the first few pages some slight aging; overall very good. Beginning in the 1930s major league baseball MLB printed its red and green books to serve as a research tool for the media The Green Book was edited by Dave Grote and its full of information about the National League teams including game rules official game schedules spring training information and club standings. There is also substantial information on the players such as batting averages lifetime pitching records grand slam home runs and MVP awards. While the Red and Green books were eventually sold to fans for a time in 2009 they stopped printing them and sent digital versions to the press.
