Autograph ownership 1932 of Waynesboro PA financier industrialist and press book collector Jefford F. Oller 1896-1974. Unusual and attractive half red leather over hand made paste paper boards binding with matching comb decorated colored paste downs and fly leaves. The binding was probably commissioned by Oller. It has raised bands defined by sumbolic floral tie downs. Spine titled in gilt. Oller inserted his own index and a few other scraps. Perhaps because of this there is some wrinkling to the text leaves. Lincoln Steffens 1866-1936 was a San Francisco born jornalist.
