Collection of Randolph Mason short stories; the character was created by Post criminal and corporate lawyer who became a writer. Randolph is a pre-Perry Mason defense attorney who specializes in getting usually justly accused clients off the hook. Unlike Erle Stanley Gardners' Mason however Randolph is unscrupulous antisocial abusive physically ugly and has the reputation being the last resport for the deperate.
