The experienced dyer will find unfamiliar plant sources for the dye pot; the inexperienced dyer will also find a review of mordanting and dyeing procedures. Represents one element of a fibre exhibition entitled Spectrum '86 - Natural Dyes, Natural Fibres", organized by the Burr House Spinners and Weavers Guild of Richimond Hill, Ontario. The exhibition and this catalogue arose in response to a call for special fibre events to celebrate the first biennial meeting of the Handweavers Guild of America to be held outside the United States, in Toronto in July, 1986.
