Uniformly bound in full calf. Externally generally smart with rubbing to the extremities spine and joints causing a little loss. Slight cracking to the joints heavier to the front joints of volume IV and V. Light marking to the boards and endpapers. Bookplate to the front paste down. Hinges are slightly strained to volume IV and V a little strained to volume I. Internally firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with light age toning and the odd mark mainly to the first and last pages. Ink inscription to the verso of the front endpaper and the front blank to volume I.
