This edition was re-titled RECOLLECTIONS OF MY MOTHER: it omits some letters from the first edition but includes anecdotes and letters new to this edition. These are extensive New England memoirs concentrated on Northampton Mass. The Illustrations include an actual mounted photograph of a painted portrait of Judge Lyman.
