The book and its contents are in mostly clean bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some beginning bumping. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has several edge tears and nicks. There is a long vertical scratch to the rear dust jacket panel. "Treblinka was an extermination camp built and operated by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland during World War II. It was located in a forest north-east of Warsaw 4 kilometres 2.5 mi south of the Treblinka train station in what is now the Masovian Voivodeship. The camp operated between 23 July 1942 and 19 October 1943 as part of Operation Reinhard the deadliest phase of the Final Solution. During this time it is estimated that between 700000 and 900000 Jews were killed in its gas chambers along with 2000 Romani people. Verbs like 'relied.upon' and 'substantiated' and phrases such as 'close to the facts' and 'reconstruct the history' all project an honest effort to reach for factual truth.
