‎Ensemble de 2 ouvrages reliés en un volume in-12 (126 x 70 mm) , plein parchemin ivoire de l'époque. 1- Attribué par les contemporains à H. Estienne, ce pamphlet pourrait avoir été également composé par Th. de Bèze, Hotman ou R. de la Planche. "Pamphlet très violent, écrit pendant la régence de 1574 contre la 'tyrannie' et les 'vices' de Catherine de Médicis, histoire des guerres de religion où les responsabilités sont rejetées sur la reine. L'auteur, qui se donne comme un catholique modéré, semble être un huguenot apparenté au parti des Politiques" ('Sources de l'Histoire de France', 2240). (Cf. Renouard, 'Estienne', 142-143, n°8. Brunet, II, 751). 2- Recueil de pamphlets qui concernent autant Henri III qu'Henri IV. Contient : I- "Journal du règne de Henry III" [par Servin, avocat général au parlement de Paris]. II- "L'Alcandre, ou les amours du Roy Henry le Grand" [chronique scandaleuse attribuée à la Princesse de Conti]. III- "Le divorce satyrique, ou les amours de Reine Marguerite de Valois..." [pamphlet très violent contre Marguerite de Valois attribué à P.-V. Palma Cayet]. IV- "La confession de M. de Sancy par L.S.D.A. auteur du Baron Feneste" [texte peu connu de Théodore Agrippa d'Aubigné]. Léonce Brouillant (in 'Pierre du Marteau', p. 179) précise que ce dernier recueil, publié sous une adresse fictive de Cologne, aurait été comme le précédent publié à La Haye par Adrian Vlacq. Ebbe successo e più edizioni, una del 1801 sta nella " Raccolta degli Erotici Greci Tradotti in Italiano ". Diese 15 kolorierten Originalzeichnungen mit dem handschriftlichen Titel- und Inhaltsblatt sind die offensichtlich Originalvorlage zu dem 1926 erschienen Mappenwerk mit 15 kolorierten Lithographien von O. Fabrès, unter dem Titel "Quartier Réservé. Quinze Dessins", Paris, Au Divan, 1926, in 100 num. Exemplaren. Die Motive der Originalzeichnungen sind weitgehend identisch mit denen der Lithografien, unterscheiden sich allerdings in zahlreichen Details und auch in der Kolorierung. Oscar Fabrès (1894 - 1960) war ein chilenischer Künstler und Karikaturist, der zuerst in Paris studierte und arbeitete, zu der Zeit auch ein enger Freund Foujitas war, den er mehrmals porträtierte. 1940 übersiedelte er dann nach New York. Das Mappenwerk "Quartier Réservé" stammt aus der frühen Pariser Zeit des Künstlers, den wilden 20er Jahren; es zeigt Szenen aus dem Bordell-Leben, Nutten mit ihren Freiern, aber auch ausdrucksstarke Portraits von Prostituierten und Puffmüttern. Mappe etwas berieben, innen etwas braunfleckig, mit Sammler-Stempel am Innendeckel (F. Fasting, Rio de Janeiro). Titelblätter und ersten 2 Tafeln etwas stärker stock- und leicht fingerfleckig, sonst nur vereinzelt leicht stockfleckig, verso mit leichtem Abklatsch (Farbschatten) der Aquarellierung. ----------------- Fabrès, O. These 15 coloured original drawings with the handwritten title and contents page are obviously the original templates for the portfolio published in 1926 with 15 coloured lithographs by O. Fabrès, under the title 'Quartier Réservé. Quinze Dessins', Paris, Au Divan, 1926, in 100 num. copies. The motifs of the original drawings are largely identical to those of the lithographs, but differ in numerous details and also in the colouring. Oscar Fabrès (1894 - 1960) was a Chilean artist and caricaturist who first studied and worked in Paris and was also a close friend of Foujita at the time, whom he portrayed several times. He then moved to New York in 1940. The portfolio 'Quartier Réservé' dates from the artist's early Parisian period, the wild 1920s; it shows scenes from brothel life, hookers with their johns, but also expressive portraits of prostitutes and madams. Portfolio somewhat rubbed, inside a bit browned, with collector's stamp on inside cover (F. Fasting, Rio de Janeiro). Title pages and the first 2 plates a little more foxed and slightly finger-stained, otherwise only sporadically slightly foxed, verso with slight impression (colour shade) of the watercolour. ----------------------- Fabrès, O. Portefeuille à rabats en toile de l'époque. Exemplaire unique. Ces 15 dessins originaux coloriés, avec la page de titre et la page de sommaire manuscrites, sont évidemment le modèle original du portfolio de 1926 contenant 15 lithographies colorées d'O. Fabrès, sous le titre « Quartier Réservé. ». Paris, Au Divan, 1926, en 100 exemplaires numérotés. Les motifs des dessins originaux sont en grande partie identiques à ceux des lithographies, mais diffèrent par de nombreux détails et également par la colorisation. Oscar Fabrès (1894-1960) était un artiste et caricaturiste chilien. Il a d'abord étudié et travaillé à Paris, où il a été un ami proche de Foujita, dont il a fait le portrait à plusieurs reprises. En 1940, il s'installe à New York. Le portfolio « Quartier Réservé » date du début de la période parisienne de l'artiste, des années folles. Il montre des scènes de la vie de bordel, des filles avec leurs michets, mais aussi des portraits expressifs de prostituées et de mères maquerelles. Portefeuille un peu frotté, quelques rousseurs à l'intérieur, avec cachet de collectionneur sur le plat intérieur (F. Fasting, Rio de Janeiro). Rousseurs un peu plus prononcées sur les pages de titre et les 2 premières planches et légères taches de doigts, sinon seulement quelques légères taches éparses, légère trace (ombre de couleur) de l'aquarelle au verso.‎
