He was famed for his nonsense verse starting with this poem and this magazine which appeared in the year after he resigned from the University of California. The first edition was rather a test printing of fewer than two dozen copies. Probably all or most of this issue was by Burgess who also invented and named the "blurb"; the remainder likely done by Bruce Porter with typography by Doxey. Wm. Doxey unknown
