MacDonald is said to have been more popular than Pauline Johnson or Robert Service in the 1920's. He was an excellent promoter and stage performer. Someone has printed "CHEBUCTO" in bubble letters with black ink fairly neatly on the spine. The author was the ex-principal at the Alexander McKay School in Halifax. In the Preface to this 2nd Edition dated August 1919 he indicates that there are several new poems which have been added including two inspired by the Halifax Explosion. 152 pp. Self Published hardcover
