Glassine wrapper with pochoir illustrations over paper. Wrapper title in red. "Collection Lotus" -- on back wrapper. Half title in red; title page in red and black. No year of publication; 1930 is the year assigned in library records. The author Alfred Louis Charles de Musset-Pathay 1810-1857 was a French poet dramatist and novelist. This autobiographical novel first published in 1836 is based on his love affair from 1833 to 1835 with George Sand French novelist Amantine-Lucile-Aurore Dupin 1804-1876. In Very Good- Condition: glassine wrapper is fragile as is typical with some loss at corners of front section not impacting printing or illustration and one larger section lost along lower fore-edge and lower corner of back section; minor loss at spine ends; old repair along spine; front and back wrapper illustrations are intact; 2-cm. closed tear from lower edge of 1 leaf; another leaf has separated from one tipped on corner without loss; otherwise clean and bright.
