Between the Alps and a Hard Place : Switzerland in World War II and Moral Blackmail Today
Washington D. C.: Regnery Publishing Inc. 2000. As New condition in bright shiny As New Dust Jacket. No chips. No tears. No creases. No fading. No owner's name or bookplate. No remainder marks. No underlining. No highlighting. No margin notes. Clean square tight. and unmarked. Sharp corners. Fresh and crisp obviously never read. Chapter notes. Index. A history and examination of the claims that Switzerland secretly supported Nazi Germany and thus shares culpability for the Holocaust. From the Dust Jacket: "In the context of World War II Codevilla shows how tiny Switzerland successfully fended off an Axis war machine thirty times its strength and simultaneously made itself available as a lifeboat to Jewish and other ethnic refugees. Codevilla documents how the anti-Swiss campaign offered no evidence for its shocking claims but still managed to shake down two of the largest banks of a friendly power of $1.25 billion. BETWEEN THE ALPS AND A HARD PLACE is both thrilling World War II history and an exposé of the shameful selling of historical truth and American foreign policy for political gain. .
