Paperback binding with both covers illustrated in color. The covers are somewhat soiled and worn remaining in very good condition. The one page of text is titled "A Notable Post" and refers to the George H. Thomas--Post No. 5 Grand Army of the Republic Department of Illinois. The final two pages contain an assemblage of portraits of past commanders of Post No. 5 which was organized August 21 1873 largely through the efforts of Col. Hiram Hilliard.
