A vanishingly scarce work.Two sermons published in one volume 'The Presence of Christ With the Ministers of the Gospel' and 'An Examination of the Power of the Fraternity'.An early American work written by Solomon Stoddard a pastor of the Congregationalist Church in Northampton Massachusetts Bay Colony for 55 years.Stoddard was the first librarian at Harvard University and was the grandfather of revalisist and theologian Jonathan Edwards. He was a significant figure in the religious history of colonial America in particular in the Puritan churches of New England. One of his important contributions was the modification of the Half-Way Covenant which allowed the children of the baptised but non-converted church members to be baptised; he went further and allowed that the halfway members should be allowed to receive Communion.
