br. Seduto alla scrivania di casa - sopra di lui lo sguardo vigile di Kurt Vonnegut, accanto a lui una finestra aperta su campi e boschi -, Michele Serra scrive le sue amache. Se non è a casa, le scrive dove capita: in treno, in macchina, al bar, in autogrill, ovunque. Praticamente senza sosta, ogni giorno, da un quarto di secolo. Ormai sono quasi ottomila corsivi, quasi ottomila opinioni: abbastanza per sentirsi "un caso umano", per voltarsi indietro e interrogarsi sulle ragioni e la sostanza di tutto questo. Ecco allora la precoce familiarità di Serra con libri e macchine per scrivere, il debito di riconoscenza nei confronti di persone e luoghi che lo hanno formato, la scoperta delle parole più ricorrenti tra le centinaia di migliaia battute sulla tastiera. Fra tutte, le più utilizzate sono due, sinistra e politica. «Se l'ho scritta ben 1321 volte, la parola "sinistra", è sicuramente perché stavo cercando di spiegare prima di tutto a me stesso che cosa volevo dire esattamente, dicendo sinistra. Lo stimolo fondamentale della scrittura, direi non solo della mia, è l'ignoto».

I profeti disarmati. 1945-1948, la guerra fra le due sinistre
ril. Per qualche decennio il Partito comunista italiano ha realizzato un miracolo. Apparteneva al Movimento comunista internazionale e aveva rapporti "fraterni" con l'Unione sovietica, ma era al tempo stesso una grande forza democratica, un argine contro le incombenti minacce fasciste, una indispensabile componente della vita democratica nazionale e, grazie al ruolo di Palmiro Togliatti nell'immediato dopoguerra, uno dei principali costruttori dello Stato repubblicano. Quasi tutti erano stati fascisti sino al 1942 e avevano quindi una particolare familiarità con la professione dell'intellettuale organico. Il Partito comunista conosceva i loro trascorsi, ma li aveva perdonati e sapeva che questo atto di clemenza avrebbe garantito la loro fedeltà. Il successo dell'operazione ebbe l'effetto di oscurare l'esistenza di un'altra intelligencija italiana, poco incline a lasciarsi attrarre dalle seduzioni del grande Partito comunista. I suoi esponenti avevano combattuto il fascismo negli anni del regime, in patria o all'estero, conoscevano la natura del movimento comunista, sapevano che le sue strategie non erano compatibili con il futuro di un paese democratico. Le loro origini politiche erano diverse, ma avevano una comune ispirazione liberale. Erano "Profeti disarmati", come li definisce Mirella Serri, ma avevano un piccolo quotidiano, "Risorgimento Liberale", che fu in quegli anni uno dei più vivaci e brillanti organi d'informazione e di opinione della rinata democrazia italiana.

Mallock in letters to newspapers reprinted here says he doesn't make any such contention in his writings giving Shaw the opportunity to attack him further. He is the founding father of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He served as the first President of Bangladesh and later Prime Minister of Bangladesh from March 1971 until his assassination in August 1975. He is considered to be the driving force behind the independence of Bangladesh. He is popularly known under the title of Bangabandhu (Bôngobondhu "Friend of Bengal"). He became a leading figure in and eventually the leader of the Awami League, founded in 1949 as an East Pakistan-based political party in Pakistan. Mujib is credited as an important figure in efforts to gain politician autonomy for East Pakistan and later as the central figure behind the Bangladesh Liberation Movement and the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Thus, he is regarded Jatir Janak or Jatir Pita (Jatir Jônok or Jatir Pita, both meaning "Father of the Nation") of Bangladesh. Très lu, réédité à plusieurs reprises, ce "catéchisme des républicains", constitua une source fondamentale de la pensée des Lumières comme des révolutionnaires de 1789. Algernon Sidney y étudie avec précision les mécanismes du pouvoir personnel, expose ses vues sur la nécessaire liberté politique des Nations et argumente autour de la primauté d’un parlement représentatif sur l’exécutif. Impliqué dans un complot contre Charles II d’Angleterre, l’auteur a été décapité pour trahison en 1683 et son ouvrage ne fut publié en anglais qu'à titre posthume en 1698.
