Bildirge: Ülkemizde ve dünyada içinde bulundugumuz kosullar ve temel siyasî görevimiz.; Devrimci hareketin birligi ve partilesme süreci. Ülkemiz solunun dünü bugünü. Devrimci Yol (shortly DEV-YOL) was a Turkish political movement (as opposed to a tightly structured organization) with many supporters in trade unions and other professional institutions. Its ideology was based on Marxism-Leninism but rejected both the Soviet and the Chinese models in favor of a more native Turkish model, although it was influenced by the latter. Devrimci Yol entered the political scene in Turkey on 1 May 1977 with its manifesto called bildirge. Its roots can be seen in a movement that called itself Devrimci Gençlik ("Revolutionary Youth", short DEV-GENÇ), and it followed the thesis of Mahir Çayan. Extremely rare. ‎BEHICE BORAN, (Presidente ddu Parti Ouvrier de Turquie), (1910-1987).‎

‎Turquie et le Monde d'Aujourd'hui.‎

‎Fine French Paperback. Foolscap 8vo. (17 x 12 cm). In French. Behice Boran was a Turkish Marxist politician, author and sociologist. As a dissenting political voice from the left, Boran was repeatedly imprisoned for her work and died in exile after the Turkish military coup of 1980. Boran was born in Bursa to Volga Tatar parents whose families had settled in the Ottoman Empire during the 1890s. She graduated from American College for Girls in Istanbul, Turkey, and studied sociology at the University of Michigan in the United States. She received her PhD on sociology in 1939 from Michigan, and was involved in Marxism. She was nominated to Ankara University, Faculty of Language and History-Geography (AÜ, DTCF) as an associate professor. She also joined the clandestine Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and began publishing left-wing periodicals, Yurt ve Dünya (English: Motherland and World) and Adimlar (English: Steps), which led to her sacking from the university. In 1950, she led the formation of the Turkish Peacelovers Association, which protested against Turkey's participation the Korean War, which led to her arrest and a sentence of 15 months in prison. Between 1965-69, Boran served as a deputy from the Workers Party of Turkey (TIP) in the Turkish parliament. In 1970, she assumed the leadership of the party. She was arrested after the military coup of 1971 and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment. After she was released following an amnesty, she re-established the TIP in 1975. After the military coup of 1980, Boran went into exile in Europe, living as a political refugee in Sofia, Brussels and Düsseldorf. In 1987, she announced that TIP and TKP had decided to merge. She died soon after this press conference from heart disease in Brussels, Belgium. She was 77 years old. Her body was brought to Istanbul and her funeral turned into a mass demonstration, the first public show of force of Turkey's left-wing movement after the coup. (Wikipedia).‎

‎[THE LAST BULLFIGHTING IN SPAIN!] Akbaba. No: 192. 10 Eylül 1937. Ispanyada son boga dögüsü! [Anti-Nazi and Soviet propaganda]. Illustration by Cemal Nadir, (1902-1947).‎

‎Very Good Turkish Original color illustrated cover. Folio. (32 x 24 cm). In Turkish. 17, [1] p., color and b/w ills. An amazing cover illustration Nazi anti-propaganda and USSR (Soviets). It's seen a black Nazi bull angry by the red Soviet flag. "Ispanyada son boga dögüsü!" [i.e. The last bullfighting in Spain!]. This great cover was illustrated by Cemal Nadir [Güler], (1902-1947). He was a Turkish cartoonist. Güler is the surname he assumed after the Surname Law of 1934. Cemal Nadir was born in Bursa, Ottoman Empire on 13 July 1902. His father Sevket was a calligraphist (Turkish: Hattat) employed in courts. After finishing high school, he began working as a sign painter in Bursa. He also created cartoons, and his first cartoon appeared in Diken (literally: "The Thorn") periodical. Although he moved to Istanbul and tried to be a full-time cartoonist, he could not make it and he returned to Bursa. The Alphabet Reform of 1929 gave Cemal Nadir a second chance to show his talent. When Turkey adopted the Latin alphabet replacing the Ottoman Turkish alphabet in Arabic script, all signboards were necessarily changed, and he worked hard to meet the demand. In the same year, he moved once more to Istanbul to work for the daily Aksam. Later, he also drew for the newspaper Son Posta, as well as for the satirical magazines such as Akbaba. During this period, he published the satirical magazine Amcabey. During World war II, he drew anti-Nazism cartoons in the daily Cumhuriyet. In 1946, the Republican People's Party (CHP) invited him to run for a seat in the parliament. However, he refused the invitation, he said that with political affiliation he would not be able to create cartoons. He used his conflicting cartoon characters to criticize the social problems of that time in the country. (Ak'la Kara ("Black and White")., Dede ile Torun ("The Grandpa and the Grandson")., Dalkavuk ("The Sycophant")., Yeni Zengin ("Nouveau riche")., Salamon).‎
